Teen Time...

Jared celebrated with the red plate on the morning after his season ending water polo awards banquet where he received ~ MVP award from League playoffs, a Scholar Athlete Commendation, Coach's Award as the team's "future" & "best all around" water polo player acknowledgment. Way to go, Sonshine! And if that wasn't enough fun... he also had his high school's "Winter Formal" dinner & dance night. What a darling couple they made!

2 days of celebrating!!

My friends celebrated my birthday with me...and what a lucky girl I am!!! First of all, my sweet sister, Erin, made me dinner on my B.day Eve... ...followed by a coffee & pedicure date with my fun friend, Suzelle! (no photos of either of these 2 good times....rats!) A lunch date with the Wilson Girls...where the waiter brought us complimentary oozing hot chocolate lava cake to share for dessert...and I was the recipient of lovely presents...blessings abound! And...a couple of the knotty knitters conspired to "gift me" with a project to make, my first pair of human size socks...with THE most lovely hand dyed yarn in Mermaid colors (made by Janice) and the wisdom & guidance will come from my personal "knitting~sansei" Cindy (this is no subtle hint Cindy, the book doesn't get you out of helping me along!!!). A big THANKS to you all...for making a girl feel celebrated...and not just a bit older.

Jingle Bell Scarf

I had seen a jingle bell embellished scarf in the Martha Stewart Magazine a couple of years ago, and have had it in my head to knit one myself, ever since. I like the red bells against the creamy silk yarn... it feels soft too...without looking fuzzy. My daughter thinks I should give it to her?!

Christmas Crafts

My "Good Things" girlfriends group met for a Christmas Crafts night...and this is what we made! Candy covered candles & cones for our holiday decoration needs...all from cheapy stuff from the dollar store!
...and I brought home the supplies
to make a gumdrop wreath too.

HALLOWEEN

This year my kids were all about the 50's & the 60's. With a "Greaser Guy" & a "Go-Go Girl"! What a nostalgic trip back in time... ...and the trick or treating was pretty fun too.
