My Junior Olympian Medalist

Jared's 1st Junior Olympics Medal!! He made it into the top bracket with lots of practice, talent, determination, and even one tiny percentage of luck this day.... What a Great Feeling it is to see him reach this level of achievement in a sport for which he has spent countless hours improving his skills.

Jared diving in for his 1st event of the weekend: The 200 yd. Freestyle. He followed with the 500 Free, 50 Free, 200 IM, and ended on his highest note of the weekend's events with his top event, the 100 Free!

It sure took some doing... converting all the photos from the past year into Black & White, resizing & printing them. But I think the final project was worth the effort. 'Love My Life~2008'

Button Flowers

Playing with buttons is always Fun Craft for me, and this time my daughter wanted to get in on the act too! Made with floral wire & buttons I had in my stash. I may get some pretty wool felt to embroider & back some of the flowers with... then again, maybe not.

I went shopping at Michael's today... because Suzelle lured me there with promises of CHEAP GOODIES ...and she was right! This little chipboard album was $1 with the pre-cut paper for another buck. All the stuff to put it together & embellish it I already own ...so I'd say that's a sweet deal. What Fun!

Sweet Little Tea Party

Mrs. Fitzgerald (aka 'Grandma Char') wanted to borrow my daughter, Audra (& asked her to choose a friend, Claire) for an afternoon date, to take to TEA PARTY. (She explained that she only has grandsons, and no little girls to play with.) So this Valentine's Day...off they went! What wonderful memories they made! Each girl came home with a little pink purse filled with all kinds of girl-y things and an embroidered hankie, a special tradition of Charmaine's. How Dear!

My Girlfriends at 'Just Need It' got me involved in this year-in-review photography/scrap challenge... 9 photos taken, on the 9th of each month, in the year 2009! Here is the little album I've got going~ and, I'm 1/6th of the way done!!!

He Passed!

Jared is now a licensed driver! I am happy for him, really, but somehow I am still trying to maintain my happy little state of denial. Can he really be THIS grown up? Where has my baby boy gone?
