It makes my heart glad to see my big 16 year old boy up on the Altar with my sweet little 10 year old girl...serving the Church...on Christmas Day! Merry Christmas Blessings to all!
Audra made one for a family who was in need of a Christmas Dinner and one to take home to taste herself~She proudly served it to our family, this Pumpkin Pie that she made all by herself.I must say, she's quite the little baker...It was yummy indeed.
My grandma's vintage (1940's) village,
our slim tree squeezed in the little space between the back of the couch & the front door (that we never use, anyhow),
and our holiday table!
I managed to get the decor up early this year...
on the weekend after Thanksgiving.
These are just a few of the highlights...
there's more in every corner of each living space...
snow babies, wreaths, Christmas kitchenware...the list goes on...
Merry Merry!
Jared's getting pretty good at these Formal Dance Nights....for quite such a casual guy.
Your sweet date broke her arm this week...
But, she's got a good sense of humor about it & even got the splint to match the dress!
Somehow I've managed to get "adopted" by this fabulous family of ladies...."The Wilson Girls" (although, if truth be told, 2 of them no longer go by that name)I get to be one though....for an afternoon.
Home Looky~Looing & Lunch with the Ladies....What a way to spend a December Day!
Jared celebrated with the red plate on the morning after hisseason ending water polo awards banquetwhere he received ~MVP award from League playoffs,a Scholar Athlete Commendation,Coach's Award as the team's "future" &"best all around" water polo player acknowledgment.Way to go, Sonshine! And if that wasn't enough fun...he also had his high school's"Winter Formal" dinner & dance night. What a darling couple they made!
My friends celebrated my birthday with me...and what a lucky girl I am!!!
First of all, my sweet sister, Erin, made me dinner on my B.day Eve...
...followed by a coffee & pedicure date with my fun friend, Suzelle! (no photos of either of these 2 good times....rats!)
A lunch date with the Wilson Girls...where the waiter brought us complimentary oozing hot chocolate lava cake to share for dessert...and I was the recipient of lovely presents...blessings abound!
And...a couple of the knotty knitters conspired to "gift me" with a project to make, my first pair of human size socks...with THE most lovely hand dyed yarn in Mermaid colors (made by Janice) and the wisdom & guidance will come from my personal "knitting~sansei" Cindy (this is no subtle hint Cindy, the book doesn't get you out of helping me along!!!).
A big THANKS to you all...for making a girl feel celebrated...and not just a bit older.
I had seen a jingle bell embellished scarf in the Martha Stewart Magazine a couple of years ago, and have had it in my head to knit one myself, ever since.
I like the red bells against the creamy silk yarn...
it feels soft too...without looking fuzzy.
My daughter thinks I should give it to her?!
My "Good Things" girlfriends group met for a Christmas Crafts night...and this is what we made! Candy covered candles & cones for our holiday decoration needs...all from cheapy stuff from the dollar store!
This year my kids were all about the 50's & the 60's.
With a
"Greaser Guy"
& a
"Go-Go Girl"!What a nostalgic trip back in time...
...and the trick or treating was pretty fun too.
