OUR LEAGUE CHAMPS...Coaches & Boys are pretty proud!
Jared takes 2nd place & earns the 'silver medal' in the 200IM at League finals.
Then he kicks it up to 1st Place and takes the Gold for his 100 Free event.
But I think his favorite part of the day is helping his team win the whole League Championship!
They won both of their relays, bringing home 2 more gold medals...
Teamwork makes such happy boys!!!

open the gift we brought for her
1st Holy Communion celebration last Saturday.
My daughter has sung in our church's children choir for the last several years.
This month has been a particularly busy one,
with 2 Saturdays of 1st Holy Communion & Mother's Day Sunday
added to & all their regularly weekly Masses.
It's one of Audra's most JOYFUL services to Church & God.
The girls decided 'Classic Hollywood Movie Glamor'
would be our theme for their Mother/Daughter Girl Scout event.
Us moms were happy to oblige & even act as their paparazzi.
Here are all the sleepy headed scouts & parents
...heading out to their 10 mile practice hike last Saturday.
They are preparing for their upcoming
12 day hike camp coming up this summer.

Aunty Lynn collected some Antique salt shakers from her local flea market
& shared her stash of vintage buttons
to make little boudoir size bouquets.

Then there was the big shopping trip to the Sunglass Hut
to 'christen' Jared's newly acquired skill as a legal driver,
which Elena insists, means NICE new sunglasses are required...

What a Fun Day our little girl scouts had touring all the country booths.

I picked up the idea of using a S & P shaker as a vase for the 'mod' little flowers
when I initially searched the whole button flower concept.
I must say...I am liking the whimsy.
I found these paper flowers in a scrapbooking store
& decided to make my life easy
(it's cheating, I realize, to skip the hand cut felt petals & embroidery work)
but in the end...I am pretty pleased with the bouquet.
I admit, we look like we are drinking mojitos,
rather than knitting, here in this photo...
but actually, we were doing both!!

have their 'Stitches' convention passes
hanging from their necks.
We had a fun day of Shopping, Dining, Drinking, Sushi-ing
(YES, I know...that's NOT a word)
& of course, knitting together!
