February's 'Good Things' Meeting

February's Meeting was all about Valentine's Day. Here's my UN-finished LOVE album.... I decided to go with Black & White, rather than the holiday's colors. and...Anything with BUTTONS is a favorite of mine, So I'm loving the cards we crafted this month!

Claire brings home a rainbow!

Audra's BFF, Claire, has been gone for a week for vacation...& she has been missed! So, after several days of rainy, dreary weather.....she returns.....bearing gifts, I might add... ~not to mention this rainbow! The girls are so happy to be together again!

Finally....A Sock Monkey!!!

Such a Cutie! Audra received this monkey as a Christmas present, but it was a craft kit. So we needed a free day to sew, stuff, & sew some more. Here it is...mid January & she finally has her new pal "sox" to love on... She's been carrying him around for 4 days now, and he even got to go to school today! (It was reading in your pajamas day!!) Audra has wanted one of these silly little guys for quite a while, I think sometimes they seem even better when you've had to wait.

Audra's Scrapbook Project

Audra's Scrapbook/Biography Book Report for 5th Grade is on Grace Kelly. She did a beautiful job assembling her project... and is quite proud of it!

...to our state's Capitol

The BIG 5th Grade Bus Trip... Oh, What a Day! We were up at 4 in the morning to catch the bus that was scheduled to leave promptly at 5:15am. The state Capitol was Beautiful! Suzelle & I had fun following along. Our day turned out to be sunny & nice. Audra's 5th grade Classmates were all having a great time! And it all ended with one truly conked out little girl!!

Chicken Thigh Recipe...

My friend, Suzelle, happened to tell me about a recipe for a chicken thighs on the very morning I had purchased a package to bake up.... so, a couple of easy changes (I sub onion for shallot, and dill & parsley for rosemary) ...and off we go! My whole family liked it....moist & delicious. Thanks Suzelle, you can use me as a test kitchen any ole' time!

Our Cousin - IKE

We got Aunt Jenise & Cousin Ike (my sister & nephew, actually) For 4 days over this Christmas Vacation!! Here are the cousins after visiting the local museum's interactive science center & dinosaur exhibits! What a Dude, 4 year old Ike is...

It makes my heart glad to see my big 16 year old boy up on the Altar with my sweet little 10 year old girl...serving the Church...on Christmas Day! Merry Christmas Blessings to all!

Pie Baking Girl Scouts

Audra made one for a family who was in need of a Christmas Dinner and one to take home to taste herself~She proudly served it to our family, this Pumpkin Pie that she made all by herself. I must say, she's quite the little baker...It was yummy indeed.

It's a Merry Christmas all around our home...

My grandma's vintage (1940's) village, our slim tree squeezed in the little space between the back of the couch & the front door (that we never use, anyhow), and our holiday table! I managed to get the decor up early this year... on the weekend after Thanksgiving. These are just a few of the highlights... there's more in every corner of each living space... snow babies, wreaths, Christmas kitchenware...the list goes on... Merry Merry!

Another Winter Formal!!

Jared's getting pretty good at these Formal Dance Nights ....for quite such a casual guy. Your sweet date broke her arm this week... But, she's got a good sense of humor about it & even got the splint to match the dress!

Somehow I've managed to get "adopted" by this fabulous family of ladies.... "The Wilson Girls" (although, if truth be told, 2 of them no longer go by that name) I get to be one though....for an afternoon. Home Looky~Looing & Lunch with the Ladies.... What a way to spend a December Day!
